Las Vegas Grammar School (Fifth Street School) Grand Re-opening

The city of Las Vegas is proud to announce the resurrection of a Las Vegas architectural gem.  The Las Vegas Grammar School, also known as Fifth Street School, will soon re-open its doors as a “cultural oasis” housing an assortment of local cultural and architectural organizations.

Originally opened in the fall of 1936, the Las Vegas Grammar School was a colorfully decorated single-story Mission-style building that reflected the expansive and optimistic mood of the era. 

To commemorate the revitalization of this iconic building the city of Las Vegas will host a celebration.  The festivities will be held:

As part of the celebration, we are inviting all those who attended or worked at the Las Vegas Grammar School to be our special guests.  In addition to being our guest, if you have historical photos and/or memorabilia of the school, that you would like to share, we are gladly accepting items to showcase during the event.  Your oral recollections are also appreciated.
