Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half Marathon The marathon in Las Vegas is one of the oldest in the United States and has existed since 1967. Since 2009, the race became the newest member of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.

The Color Run The first Color Run was held in downtown Las Vegas, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012. About 5,000 participants ran the 5K event which benefited the Three Square charity.

First Friday First Friday is celebrated in the Arts District of downtown Las Vegas. The hub is on Casino Center Boulevard in between Colorado Street and California Street with an extension on Third Street and Colorado.

Veterans Parade The Veterans Day parade in downtown Las Vegas is the largest Veterans Day parade west of the Mississippi River and is presented by VFW Post 1753. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed an Armistice Day for Nov. 11, 1919 in honor of World War 1 veterans. Then on June 1, 1954, Congress amended the act replacing "Armistice" with "Veterans," and it has been known as Veterans Day ever since.

The team is comprised of representatives from many city departments, the Metropolitan Police Department and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC).
