The House Arrest Unit supervises offenders sentenced to residential confinement instead of jail. Field officers conduct unannounced home and work-site visits while defendants are monitored 24 hours a day by electronic equipment linking a client’s home to the program office.

Qualifications

• Must be a misdemeanor offense
• Must be referred by a judge
• Must have a permanent residence
• Must have a working land line phone
• Must pay a daily monitoring fee

Cost

• $100 administrative start-up fee
• $12.00 per day monitoring fee
