Citizens Academy of Planning
Citizens Academy of Planning The Citizens Academy of Planning is an educational program designed to give community members an overview of the major elements that make up the planning process. This program is designed to provide educational outreach opportunities to community members who strengthen institutions and relationships, and support healthy and sustainable communities. The Citizens Academy of Planning functions similarly to a continuing education course with ten, 90-minute classes held over a ten week period. All classes are taught by professionals from the Department of Planning staff or other selected experts who have hands-on experience in their respective topic areas.

- No-cost curriculum featuring ten, 90-minute classes held over ten weeks
- Attendees are requested to attend each class in order to enter the alumni class
- Courses will generally feature a one-hour presentation and 30-minute discussion session
- Open to residents or business owners interested in learning about Department of Planning.
