    First Tuesday Program
On the first Tuesday of every month, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department opens its doors to valley substations from 7 to 9 p.m. in order for the community to have an open forum of communication with the police officers who patrol their neighborhoods. This is an excellent opportunity for the residents of Ward 1 to learn more about what is going on in their community.

    Check Out Downtown’s First Fridays
The air is light and the spirit festive in downtown, where, once a month, the pedestrian-friendly streets transform into a huge block party during First Friday.

First Friday is a stage for local galleries and Las Vegas' vital downtown cultural scene. It's a place to meet friends new and old, and rejoice in the preservation and innovation of an historical neighborhood. Visitors come from near and far to people-watch, sample new restaurants and revel at area bars.

The city of Las Vegas also provides arts tour buses that make rounds throughout the area every 15 minutes.
