Las Vegas Retail
Soho Lofts Rolls Out New Urban Retail Plans are currently on the drawing board to lease 8,700 square feet of ground-level, pedestrian-friendly retail space at the mixed-use complex, Soho Lofts, which is located immediately off Las Vegas Boulevard in downtown Las Vegas. The other 16 floors of the white structure feature sold-out, loft-style condominium residences, high-end penthouses and secured parking. An exhibit space called Dust Contemporary Fine Art opened in February 2008 and features the works of international contemporary artists. In addition, plans are underway to offer an up-market restaurant and lounge, niche-market fashion or cosmetic boutique, and an exotic car dealership. Union Park Retail The 61-acre downtown development called Union Park will eventually encompass more than 475,000 square feet of retail space. This retail development will take shape over a phased timeline coinciding with the creation of individual blocks by third party developers. Retail located along City Parkway will be primarily service and convenience-oriented to support Union Park residents and office workers. Plans also call for a variety of specialty boutiques and retail, as well as a “restaurant row.” This street-side retail is considered an essential and critical component of Union Park. Of special note is the planned retail within the World Jewelry Center, a one-million-square-foot gem and jewelry trade tower. An adjacent three-story retail jewelry center is also planned.
