Pay by Cell
Did you know you can pay at a multi-bay parking meter using your cell phone?  Here’s how:

1. Register
   1. Call 1-888-MPARKGO 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday
   2. Visit http://www.mparkusa.com/ 
2. Park in front of a multi-bay parking meter
3. Call 1-888-MPARKGO
4. Follow the prompts to pay for parking

This service allows you to add time (within the limit for that space) remotely, receive a text message when your time is almost up, and frees you from needing to carry change or pay with a credit card. Please note that there is a minimum transaction amount of $1.00, plus a nominal service fee.

CashKey
For our single space meters, you might want to consider using a CashKey. The CashKey allows you to park and pay the meter without using coins. It is a small device that fits on your key ring and is used like a debit card. It can be purchased and loaded with any cash value you like (up to $650) at 500 S. Main St. The cost of the CashKey is $17.

To use it, simply park in front of a single space meter and insert the CashKey into the round hole in the meter. Each time you insert the CashKey, 25 cents will be deducted from your account and applied to the time on the meter. Be careful not to exceed the meter’s time limit as your account will continue to be decreased, but the meter will not continue to give you time.

Using Multi-Bay Parking Meters
Using a multi-bay parking meter is very easy, and as a bonus, they accept credit cards.  Here’s how, but it is important to remember that the meters will not issue a receipt.

1. Park
2. Go to the meter and select the space number you parked in
3. Insert coins until you have the amount of time you need
4. OR press OK if you are going to use a credit card
   a. Select the amount of time you need

Meter Hoods
Meter hoods may be rented by companies to allow parking at meters for extended periods of time, such as:

• Construction sites
• Delivery of supplies or equipment
• Filming
• Special Events

The cost is $15 per day per metered space. Hoods are not rented to individuals to reserve personal parking spaces. Parking Enforcement staff will place/remove meter hoods. Call 229-6432 for hood rental.
