Pay Tickets or Citations

If you have received a parking ticket in the city of Las Vegas you have four options:
1.  <A href="https://secure2.lasvegasnevada.gov/parkingticket/" target=_blank>Pay online</A> (opens a new browser window)
To proceed, please have the following items ready:
<UL>
<LI>License plate number and state </LI>
<LI>Citation number </LI>
<LI>Visa, Mastercard or Discover credit or debit card</LI></UL>
2.  Pay by check or money order
<UL>
<LI>Mail a check or money order payable to the City of Las Vegas to 416 N. 7th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101 </LI>
<LI>Write the citation number on the check or money order  </LI>
<LI>Do not send cash</LI></UL>
3.  Pay in person
<UL>
<LI>Go to 416 N. 7th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101, (702) 229-4700, (800) 228-3332 (outside of Las Vegas) </LI>
<LI>Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. </LI>
<LI>Accepted forms of payment: cash, money order, checks (that meet certain requirements), Visa, Mastercard or Discover credit or debit card</LI></UL>
4.  Dispute the ticket and request a binding hearing
<UL>
<LI>Complete and return the <A href="/files/Hearing_Request.pdf" target=_blank>Hearing Request Form</A> <IMG src="/images/icons/icoAcrobatPDF.gif"> and follow the instructions on page 1. </LI>
<LI>Non-local and out-of-state residents - please complete the following <A href="/files/Non_Appearance_Hearing_Request.pdf" target=_blank>Non-Appearance Request Form</A> <IMG src="/images/icons/icoAcrobatPDF.gif"> and follow the instructions on page 1. </LI>
<LI>Hearing Times and Dates: Tuesday or Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. </LI>
<LI>This is the time to introduce any testimony, evidence and witnesses you may wish to appear on your behalf.</LI></UL>

Parking Ticket

If you have received a citation for a traffic misdemeanor citation (examples include: speeding, improper lane change and other moving violations, etc.) follow these steps:
Step 1: Confirm that the citation is for Las Vegas Municipal Court (<A href="/files/24101_PDF_tickets.pdf" target=_blank>where to look</A><IMG src="/images/icons/icoAcrobatPDF.gif">)
If the citation is for Las Vegas Municipal Court, proceed to step 2.

Otherwise, contact the appropriate court below:

Step 2: Contact Municipal Court
<UL>
<LI>You and/or your attorney must call or appear at the court counter after 14 business days from the date the citation was issued and no later than the appearance date on the citation. </LI>
<LI>Court staff can give you general information about your case over the phone including payment options. </LI>
<LI>Court staff will advise you if your citation requires a mandatory court appearance.  If so, proceed to step 5. </LI>
<LI>Court staff cannot provide you with legal advice or attorney referrals.</LI></UL>
Step 3: Decide how you will plea
A plea is required on or before the appearance date shown on your citation:

<LI>Company or business credit cards are not accepted </LI>
<LI>The credit card holder must be the person calling or be on the phone with the defendant </LI>

Traffic Misdemeanor Citation

If you have received a citation for a criminal misdemeanor offense (examples include: DUI, battery, domestic violence, vagrancy, barking dog and prostitution) follow these steps:

If the citation is for Las Vegas Municipal Court, proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Appear at Municipal Court

<LI>Check-in time is 45 minutes prior to your hearing. </LI>
<LI>If you live out of state you or your attorney may contact the Court for information 48 hours prior to the appearance date shown on your ticket. </LI>
<LI>Court staff cannot provide you with legal advice or attorney referrals. </LI>
