The city of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are organizing several "National Night Out" events throughout the community. In its 24th year, "National Night Out" is a nationwide effort to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime programs and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. All events are planned for Tuesday, August 7. Representatives from local law enforcement agencies, including the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Las Vegas City Marshals, as well as various departments of the city of Las Vegas, will be on hand to answer questions and provide helpful information.
