Occupied Space is a biannual exhibition featuring Las Vegas’ finest artists. A meet the artists’ reception will be held on Thursday, September 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the East Las Vegas Community Senior Center, located at 250 N. Eastern Ave.
Occupied Space is a free exhibition open to the public and can be viewed during normal business hours, along with artwork from the city’s permanent collection.
Featured artists include Greg Allred, Katelyn Bessette, Mark Brandvik, Randa Bishop, Amanda Farrar, Robert M. Gurn, Merrilee Hort, Bonnie Kelso, Charles Morgan, Delores J. Nast, Atsuko Parker, Eric Pawloski, Jeanette Perez, Donna Potter, Paul Rosenberg, Marc Rosenthal, Sean Russell, Dorothy Rutlidge, Teresa Testa, and Elizabeth Ward.
The exhibit runs through May 2009. Call (702) 229-6844 for information about this exhibit and the city of Las Vegas Arts Commission. The Arts Commission is operated through the Office of Cultural Affairs of the city of Las Vegas Office of Government and Community Affairs. The cultural center is open Monday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and is closed Sundays and holidays.
