Celebrate Summer Square Dance & Hoedown August 16
|

Everyone is invited to beat the heat and celebrate the joy of dancing at a square dance and hoedown on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the air-conditioned ballroom of the East Las Vegas Community Senior Center. Participants will learn a few new dances and enjoy some old favorites, like the Virginia Reel and the Cotton Eye Joe. This fun afternoon of dance for all ages is priced at $3 per person, with children 5 years and younger admitted at no charge. Guest callers will be Ron Sowash, Mike Wilder and Francois Lamoureux. Light refreshments will be served. The event is co-hosted by the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services and the Stardusters Square Dance Club. The center is located at 250 N.
