General information about the incident:  Numerous 9-1-1 calls were received that a house was on fire. When fire units arrived on scene heavy fire was showing from the rear of the house, with thick smoke coming from the attic. Owner met firefighters on arrival and advised everyone was out of the house.  Fire was growing in intensity; battalion chief made the decision to fight the fire from outside.  Within 15 minutes firefighters had the fire under control.  Two people live in the house, the owner and his son.  The owner told fire investigators that he was having trouble with his air conditioner. He tried several times to turn it on and finally it stayed on.  He went outside in the backyard to water plants when he heard a loud crash from the interior of the house, he then noticed thick smoke coming from the vents of the attic. He said the rear of the house then was on fire where there are vents from the attic. He suffered slight smoke inhalation and was treated on scene. He did not want to go to the hospital. Later his son later convinced him to go if he drove him.  The exact cause of the fire could not be pinpointed because of the damage. Investigators believe it started in the attic, spread laterally and then dropped to the interior of the home destroying everything.  The owner is the original owner of the house, which was built in 1979.
