Las Vegas residents who need to obtain a U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card now have a convenient option in downtown Las Vegas. Not only is staff of the Las Vegas City Clerk’s Office now offering passport and photo services from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the first floor of City Hall, located at 400 Stewart Ave., the City Clerk’s Office will be holding a ‘Passport Saturday’ from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2009.
In addition to passport books, the City Clerk’s office is also accepting applications for U.S. Passport Cards. These wallet-sized cards can be used for land and sea travel entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. The Passport Card is a convenient option for those who travel frequently to places such as Mexico and Canada. Individuals planning to travel to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and the Caribbean must have a U.S. Passport or Passport Card for travel since June 2009.
