The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will open registration for winter break day camps for youth ages 4 to 15 on Monday, Nov. 23. Tot Kamp (ages 4 to 5), Kids Kamp (ages 6 to 11) and Teen Kamp (ages 12 to 15) will be offered at community centers, community schools and Municipal Pool beginning Dec. 21. There will be no camp on Friday holidays, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1. Youth will have fun and stay busy enjoying age-appropriate activities, including arts, crafts, holiday games and sports, under the supervision and guidance of professional staff. Youth will need to bring a sack lunch daily. The following locations will offer camp from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 21-31, priced at $65 per child per week and $60 for an additional child from the same household:

In addition, the Mirabelli Community Center, located at 6200 Hargrove Ave, will offer a weeklong themed specialty camp concentrating on a particular activity from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., priced at $100 per week for the first child and $90 for an additional child from the same household. Also, the Aquatics staff will offer a Winter Splash Camp for children ages 6 to 11 at Municipal Pool Dec. 21-24, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, priced at $100 per week for the first child and $90 for an additional child from the same household. This fun-filled water camp will provide a safe atmosphere with close supervision where youth will experience snorkeling, water safety, games, crafts, water polo and much more. Children will need to bring a sack lunch, swimsuit, towel and a change of clothes daily. Registration is limited to 25 participants. These may be obtained by calling any of the facilities listed above for assistance, or online at clvbeyondtheneon.com. The fall Leisure Guide, which has program codes and detailed information on each facility’s camps, classes, programs, special events, sports, workshops and activities, is available online at www.lasvegasparksandrec.com. Participants must pay at the time of registration in order to reserve a spot in camp. Parents may pay for both weeks of camp at the time of initial registration. A limited number of scholarships will be available through the Seasonal Camp Office. Patrons must fill out a financial aid application and provide all pertinent income and residential paperwork in order to be considered. Financial aid applications can be picked up at the camp site or any city of Las Vegas recreation facility.
