General information about the incident:   Two grandparents and their 14-year-old grandson live in the house and were home when the fire started.  Not aware that the roof/attic area of the house was on fire, neighbors went to their front door and yelled for them to get out the house was on fire.  They went to the rear of the house and tried to use a garden hose on the fire, but it was too large. Numerous calls were made to 9-1-1 about the fire from several locations.  When firefighters arrived, the attic area was fully involved with fire. The roof was already starting to cave in, so the fire was fought from the outside.  It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. No one was hurt during the incident. The family is staying with family and their church had several members on scene to help them. The Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Foundation also assisted the family with gift cards.
