Ward 1 Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian will team with community partners to sponsor two holiday meals for senior citizens this week.

The first will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 11:30 a.m., at Clark Towers, located at 2701 Clark Towers Court. The event will be co-sponsored by Station Casinos and the city of Las Vegas.

The second holiday meal for seniors is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 4 p.m. at Sartini Plaza, located at 800 Brush St. This event is co-sponsored by Golden Gaming and the city of Las Vegas.

Councilwoman Tarkanian will take part in the celebrations and provide raffle prizes and goodies for the residents.
   
“It’s so important that we give back and remember our senior citizens, especially during the holiday season,” Councilwoman Tarkanian said. “I hope that we’ll be able to bring some laughter and fun as we look forward to a great 2010.”
