Description of damage:  Fire damage to a bathroom in rear of house, some damage to bedroom, attic area above the bathroom and roof. Light smoke throughout the rest of the house.

Cause of incident:  Accidental, started in the area of the electric exhaust fan in the bathroom.

General information about the incident:   People have lived in the house for only a month. Fire started in the exhaust fan in the rear bathroom of house, got into attic area and damaged the roof directly above. All occupants escaped without injury. Two pet cats also survived the fire. Ruled accidental. No injuries. American Red Cross is assisting the family.
