Main Street will be closed to traffic for one block between Gass Avenue and Garces Avenue in downtown Las Vegas for one night beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, reopening at 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15. The temporary closure is required while a transformer is replaced at the adjacent electric power substation.
During the closure, drivers are encouraged to use Fourth Street or South Grand Central Parkway as alternate routes.
