Third Street will be closed to traffic for one block between Lewis Avenue and Bridger Avenue in downtown Las Vegas for the weekend, beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, reopening at 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18. The temporary closure is required while a cooling tower is replaced on the building at 300 S. Fourth St.
During the closure, drivers are encouraged to use Casino Center Boulevard southbound or Fourth Street northbound as alternate routes.
