General information about the incident:  Neighbors called 9-1-1 and reported smoke coming from the vents of a vacant house. When firefighters arrived there was smoke showing from the house with some fire showing from the vents. Firefighters also found the rear patio door on the house open. Firefighters entered the house and were able to bring the fire under control within a few minutes. Most of the fire was between the first and second floors going upstairs. Neighbors told Las Vegas Fire Investigators that the house has been vacant for approximately one year. A for sale sign was posted in the front yard for several months, but was recently removed. Fire investigators found evidence the fire was intentionally set and ruled it arson. The house was a rental property previously before it was vacated a year ago. There was very little contents in the house, most of which was of no value. This incident remains under investigation by Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Arson Investigators. There were no injuries during the incident.
