New Traffic Signal At The Fourth Street And Clark Avenue Intersection Begins Operating Tomorrow Night, Jan. 15
Downtown Signal Will Accommodate Increased Traffic

City of Las Vegas traffic crews plan to put the new traffic signal at the Fourth Street and Clark Avenue intersection into full green-amber-red operation Friday evening, Jan. 15. The new signal will be placed in “flashing red” operation tonight, Jan. 14.

"Vehicle and pedestrian traffic is steadily increasing near the Regional Justice Center and Lloyd George Federal Building,” said Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese who represents Ward 3. “By installing a traffic signal at the intersection, we’re improving public safety in downtown Las Vegas.”

The traffic signal at the Fourth Street and Carson Avenue intersection was funded by the city of Las Vegas. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution as they become familiar with the new signalized intersection.
