Donald Snyder And Myron Martin To Be Honored

The city of Las Vegas will recognize The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Chairman of the Board Donald Snyder and President Myron Martin as the February Citizens of the Month at the Wednesday, Feb. 3, City Council meeting, which will take place immediately following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in City Hall council chambers, located at 400 Stewart Ave.

In celebration of Black History Month the West Las Vegas Center Performance Ensemble will present its African drumming and spoken word program from 8:30 to 9 a.m. in the City Hall plaza prior to the start of the City Council meeting.

Also, Councilman Steven D. Ross will recognize a group of employees whose work earned the city of Las Vegas an American Lung Association Clean Air Award.

Finally, Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will recognize 11-year-old Dylan Woods, who will be serving as the city’s fire chief for the day as part of a Make-A-Wish Foundation experience.
