Dog owners are called to bring their furry fashionistas to strut their stuff at the Love Your Pup Costume Parade at noon on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Dexter Park located at Upland Boulevard (north of West Charleston Boulevard). This free event will highlight renovations to the dog run and playground at Dexter Park. Serving as grand marshals will be Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman and Ward 1 Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian.

Prizes and bragging rights will go to the dogs outfitted as the cutest little pup, cutest large pup, super-sized, most unique, blue collar and overall. Other fun will include doggie dish and Valentine decorating.

“I’m so happy that the city was able to upgrade these facilities for residents to enjoy,” Councilwoman Tarkanian said. “It’s so important for families to have nice places to get exercise and to have fun. “

Dexter Park is 4.7 acres with amenities including baseball, basketball and tennis courts and picnic areas.
