The city of Las Vegas will recognize a team of city employees that worked to restore a historic building at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs to be used as a visitor’s center at the Wednesday, March 3, City Council meeting, which will take place 9 a.m. in City Hall council chambers, located at 400 Stewart Ave.
The city’s Team of the Quarter worked to plan and implement the complete restoration of the historic foreman’s house at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs.
Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian will recognize Women’s History Month at the meeting, and will also recognize the Ward 1 Citizen of the Month, who was instrumental in the local Toys for Tots program.
Finally the City Council will be recognized for its work with the annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Las Vegas. Organizers of the parade will be on hand to express their appreciation.
