Ward 5 Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow is inviting residents to join him for a free Summer Splash event on Saturday, July 17, from noon to 4 p.m. The upcoming day of summertime fun will take place at the Doolittle Community Center swimming pool at 1950 N. J Street.

“A fun filled afternoon at the pool is planned for the community with free swimming, free entertainment and free refreshments,” Councilman Barlow said.

A performance by the Desert Mermaids is planned for 2 p.m. Summer treats will be available while supplies last, and an area will be set up to learn summer safety tips.
