The city of Las Vegas and Ward 6 Councilman Steven D. Ross are inviting residents to attend a free Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park on Friday, Aug. 6, starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Centennial Hills Amphitheatre, at 7101 N. Buffalo Dr.
Free school supplies and binders will be distributed to the first 500 school-aged children that attend. Festivities will also include balloon artists, face painters and a jump house. Representatives of the Clark County School District and other agencies will be on hand to provide information and assistance to families in the northwest part of Las Vegas.
“Bring your family, a picnic basket and a cozy blanket for a fun-filled evening,” Councilman Ross said. “And after the Back-to-School Fair, everyone can enjoy the free movie.”
The movie, “Planet 51,” is rated PG and starts at dusk.
