City of Las Vegas Opens Registration For Spring Break, Summer Camps
Fun Activities Available For Youth Ages 6-15

 

The city of Las Vegas Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will open registration in March for spring break and summer camps. Registration is available by telephone, online at www.clvbeyondtheneon.com, and at the centers that are offering the camps. Registration will continue until camps are full.

Spring Break Camps

Registration for spring break camps will open at 8 a.m. Monday, March 14, for camps that run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18-22. Youth ages 6-15 will have fun and stay busy enjoying age-appropriate activities, including sports, games, special events, arts and crafts under the supervision of staff. Camps are priced at $75 for the first child for the week and $70 for each additional child from the same household. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch, drink and snack every day. The following centers will offer spring break camp:

• Cimarron Rose Community Center, 5591 N. Cimarron Road, ages 6-11 only, 229-1607.
• Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St., ages 6-15, 229-6374.
• Rafael Rivera Community Center, 2900 E. Stewart Ave., ages 6-15, 229-4600.
• Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., ages 6-15, 229-6359.
• Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive, ages 6-15, 229-1100.

Summer Camps

 Registration for summer camps for youth ages 6 to 15 will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 7, for weekly camps that run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning June 13. Youth will have fun and stay busy enjoying age-appropriate activities, including sports, games, special events, arts and crafts under the supervision of staff. Participant must bring a sack lunch, drink and snack daily, unless they are attending a food program site. Camps are priced at $75 for the first child for the week and $70 for each additional child from the same household. The following centers will offer Kids’ Kamps:

• Cimarron Rose Community Center, 5591 N. Cimarron Road, ages 6-11 only, 229-1607.
• Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St., ages 6-15, 229-6374.
• Rafael Rivera Community Center, 2900 E. Stewart Ave., ages 6-15, 229-4600.
• Stupak Community Center, 251 W. Boston Ave., 229-2488, ages 6-15, 229-2488.

Specialty Camps

Open registration for summer specialty camps for youth ages 6 to 15 will also begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 7. These weeklong specialty camps will focus on a wide variety of specific topics of interest and/or themes with additional activities, guest speakers, and/or field trips during each week. Camp hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning June 13, priced at $115 per week for the first child and $110 for each additional child from the same household. A few specialty camps may have higher prices. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch, drink and snack every day. The following centers will offer summer specialty camps:

• Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., 229-6359.
• Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive, 229-1100.
