Registration Open For 2012 Helldorado Days Parade
First 120 Applications Being Accepted

 

Applications are now being accepted for participation in the 2012 Helldorado Days parade. The parade will take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. There is no fee to be part of the parade. Applications can be found on the city’s website at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/helldorado and should be sent to the city of Las Vegas, attention: Esther Carter, 495 S. Main St. Las Vegas, Nevada, 89101, no later than Monday, April 30. The first 120 applications will be accepted.

The Helldorado parade and rodeo will be held May 17-20, at the downtown rodeo grounds, which are located east of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Stewart Avenue. Tickets and all event information can be found at www.elkshelldorado.com.

Thursday, May 17
Rodeo opening day
Everyone is encouraged to wear pink, for “Cowboys for a Cure.” One hundred percent of all ticket sales will go to benefit the local Susan G. Komen organization for breast cancer research.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Rodeo starts at 8 p.m. Tickets on opening day are $10 for adults, with kids under 10 free.


Friday, May 18
PRCA rodeo begins
8 p.m.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Rodeo starts at 8 p.m. Tickets for the first four rows/special flip up seating are $20, with kids 12 and under $15. General Admission tickets are $15, with kids 12 and under $8.

 

Saturday, May 19
Operation Free Ride / Armed Forces Day
1 – 4 p.m.
Downtown rodeo grounds
Presented by The Armed Forces Foundation and Horses4Heroes, Inc. with the Elks Lodge
Everyone can ride a horse for free! All military personnel, veterans and their families are welcome, along with Blue Star/Gold Star mothers. Professional cowboys will be on hand to greet the public.  All military families receive a free ticket to Military Appreciation Night at the rodeo. For more information or to R.S.V.P. for Operation Free Ride, contact Horses4Heroes at (702) 645-8446. R.S.V.P. by May 7 to receive a free Operation Free Ride T-shirt.

Sunday, May 20
Final day of the PRCA rodeo
Rodeo performances begin at 8 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the carnival, food vendors and exhibitors open from 5 p.m. – midnight.  

Tickets for the first four rows/special flip up seating are $20, with kids 12 and under $15. General Admission tickets are $15, with kids 12 and under $8.

One hundred percent of all ticket sales will go to benefit local children and veteran charities.
