Lone Mountain Road will be closed from Rancho Drive to Torrey Pines Drive starting Thursday at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday to accommodate storm drain installation across Lone Mountain Road. Motorists are advised to use Torrey Pines and Ann Road as alternate east-west travel routes.
The work is part of a major city of Las Vegas and the Clark County Regional Flood Control District storm drain project along Lone Mountain. Jan. 31, 2011. The project began on Jan. 31, 2011 and will result in box culverts being installed under Lone Mountain Road between Rancho and Decatur Boulevard. The $9 million project is scheduled to be completed this summer, and motorists can expect delays along this section of Lone Mountain throughout construction. Construction began at Decatur and is moving west on Lone Mountain to Rancho.
The contractor is Perini Management Services. Atkins is managing the construction project for the city of Las Vegas. Funding for the project comes from the Clark County Regional Flood Control District.
