Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded to a house fire at 4204 Del Monte Avenue (Oakey/Arville) at 12:15 a.m. Monday.  On arrival, smoke and flames were coming from the roof of a one-story, wood-frame home.  

Firefighters arrived on scene in four minutes and had the fire under control in 11 minutes.  Damage was confined to the attic and roof of  the home.  The living portion of the home was not damaged.  Damage was estimated at $75,000.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.  Fire investigators determined the fire started in the attic.  The occupant of the house is doing some renovation work in the attic and had been working in the attic for the past several days.

Two adults and two children live in the home.  They will be staying in a motor home they have parked on their property.

There were no injuries in connection with the incident..
