The Las Vegas City Council will recognize the Greenheart Conservation Company for its charitable efforts in Las Vegas at the Wednesday, June 20, City Council meeting that will begin following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in City Hall council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.
Greenheart runs the Flightlinez zip lines under the Fremont Street Experience canopy and sponsors monthly charity events. During the events the company donates proceeds from Flightlinez to a local charity. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the Rape Crisis Center, Opportunity Village and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada are among the charities that have benefitted.
In addition, Councilman Steven D. Ross, will remind the public that July is Flash Flood Awareness Month and that flash flooding is something that everyone needs to watch for during the monsoonal months.
The City Council will also honor the June Employee of the Month as part of the ceremonial agenda.
