A basic overview of business identity protection and key e-commerce issues will be covered during an upcoming Aug. 7 presentation. This presentation is part of a series of free seminars designed to better acquaint local operators with business-related legalities. The seminars are sponsored by the city of Las Vegas and attorneys from the law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins, a local civil law firm founded in 1967.
The presentation will be given by attorney Greg Gemignani. Gemignani’s extensive experience includes working with the legalities of intellectual property, technology and internet law at Lionel Sawyer & Collins. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law.
The city of Las Vegas Economic and Urban Development Department is hosting the seminars through September at the Historic Fifth Street School, which is located at 401 S. Fourth St. in downtown Las Vegas. Check-in will begin at 7:45 a.m. for each seminar. All seminars will last approximately 90 minutes.
