The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre will open its 36th season with a truly American tradition, a production of “Tom Sawyer.” Join Tom and Huck Finn for an unparalleled adventure! Boys and girls (and moms and dads) will revel in this charming journey down the Mississippi River and into trouble.
Showtime is 7 p.m. Oct. 5, 6, 12 and 13, at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, located at 800 S. Brush St. There also are 2 p.m. shows Oct. 7, 13 and 14. Ticket prices are $7 for adults; $5 for teens/seniors/military; and $3 for children, age 12 and younger. Season tickets that include three or four shows are available at a savings.
The remaining 2012-2013 season productions will include:
- “Honk!” Dec. 7-16 at Charleston Heights Arts Center;
- The Nevada Series Tour Show Feb. 15-17, at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St.; and
- “Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale” April 26-May 5, at Charleston Heights Arts Center.

The nationally recognized Rainbow Company Youth Theatre holds auditions and performances for both adults and young people throughout the year. The award-winning staff offers classes in all aspects of theatre for ages 4 through high school at the Charleston Heights Arts Center. Four productions are produced annually that bring the magic of live theatre to family audiences. There also are spring break workshops and a summer conservatory.
