Residents are invited to join Keep Las Vegas Beautiful and its many partners for the first Southern Nevada valley-wide community beautification project – Southern Nevada Cleans Up – taking place throughout the month of October. The nation’s largest day of volunteering, Make A Difference Day, is Oct. 27. But events are scheduled throughout October, building up to Oct. 27, when the efforts of Southern Nevadans will join with groups across the country to celebrate community and volunteerism in diverse ways.
There are many opportunities for students, families, service organizations, businesses, and other groups to make a difference in our community. Whether you want to help beautify the places you visit on the weekends or the ones you see every day, there are volunteer opportunities hosted by Southern Nevada businesses and organizations from Mt. Charleston to Lake Mead. See the list of upcoming events and maps here, and register for the events that most interest you. Advance registration for events is required.
