Las Vegas firefighters responded to two residential fires overnight. Both fires displaced two people each. There were no injuries.
The first fire occurred at 11:35 p.m. in a one-story house at 1301 S. 17th St. A fire was burning inside a wall of the house and started on fire. Damage was confined to the wall. Damage was estimated at $15,000. The fire was ruled accidental, electrical in nature. Two adults were displaced by the fire, the American Red Cross is assisting.
Firefighters then responded to an apartment at 100 S. Martin L. King Blvd at 2 a.m. The fire started in a closet, the cause was undetermined. The fire was confined and caused $5,000 damage. There were no injuries. One adult and one child were displaced by the fire.
