Today the city of Las Vegas adds online park picnic shelter reservation applications to its available online services at recreation.lasvegasnevada.gov. Shelter rentals start at $15 and vary in price depending on size, expected number of guests, and whether music will be played or alcohol allowed. Information on specific facilities at each park is available on the website.
The city of Las Vegas launched its online RecTrac registration system in August 2012, offering customers an easy way to register for participation in recreation activities, city sports leagues, day camps and Safekey. Picnic shelter reservation applications are an additional feature on this secure website. By opening a new account, or logging on as an existing account holder on this website, residents can view and request reservations for available shelters at city parks for specific dates in 10-hour blocks. Those needing to open a new account should follow the instructions on the website.
For questions or more information on the new system, call (702) 229-2290 or e-mail MyCLVRectrac@lasvegasnevada.gov for assistance.
Customers also can call (702) 229-6718 or come to the fifth floor at City Hall, 495 S. Main St., to reserve and pay for picnic shelter rentals during normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday (closed holidays).
