Mob Museum Officials To Make Special Presentation To City Council
City Will Also Host Farmer’s Market To Celebrate Earth Day

 

       The Las Vegas City Council will be visited by officials with the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, also known as The Mob Museum, who will make a special presentation at the Wednesday, April 16, City Council meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. in City Hall council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.

      Mob Museum Executive Director and CEO Jonathan Ullman and board Chair Ellen Knowlton will make the presentation.

       In celebration of Earth Day the city will host a farmer’s market outside of City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those visiting City Hall or those who are interested in the market are invited to stop by and check out the fresh produce and other food items available for purchase by vendors.

      The City Council will also recognize the graduates of the most recent Citizens Academy of Planning. The program gives residents a chance to learn about how planning and development in the city works.

       In addition, Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow is scheduled to recognize National Library Week, and the impact that libraries have in the city of Las Vegas.

       Mayor Pro Tem Stavros S. Anthony is scheduled to recognize two children who have written and published a guide book for children visiting Las Vegas.

       Finally, the City Council will also recognize the Employee of the Month.
