Construction of new intersection improvements on Casino Center Boulevard, at the intersections of California and Colorado avenues is scheduled to be completed May 2.
The work includes concrete and asphalt construction, utility adjustments and painting new crosswalks. Work is generally being conducted between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Gutters are being constructed to allow water to drain from the intersections, and failing asphalt will be replaced. Motorists are advised to use Las Vegas Boulevard for north-south travel and Charleston Boulevard as alternate east and west travel routes.
Drew Asphalt Paving is the contractor, and the city of Las Vegas Department of Operations and Maintenance is managing the project.
