Beginning Wednesday, April 30, and continuing through the fall, there will be intermittent lane closures along Rancho Drive, from Sahara Avenue to Rainbow Boulevard. Work will be completed during the overnight hours, as not to impact traffic, except in residential areas where work will be completed during the day. The work will be performed Monday to Friday during the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. During the next two to three weeks, the lane closures will be concentrated in the area from Sahara Avenue to U.S. 95.
Work will consist of installation of fiber optic cable, traffic signal upgrades, digital message signs to improve traffic congestion and signal connectivity.
This $3.1 million project is being funded by the Regional Transportation Commission and Nevada Department of Transportation.
