Beginning Monday, May 19, for the next two weeks, there will be closures on Rancho Drive as part of an improvement project. The lane closures will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and include:
• A single lane closure on westbound Sahara, east of Rancho between the I-15 off-ramp and Rancho.
• A single lane closure on northbound Rancho, between Sahara and the office building driveway on the east side of Rancho (the first light south of El Camino)
The closures are necessary to install and repair traffic signal improvements for the Rancho Drive improvement project taking place from Sahara Avenue to Rainbow Boulevard. Work will consist of installation of fiber optic cable, traffic signal upgrades, digital message signs to improve traffic congestion and signal connectivity.
This $3.1 million project is being funded by the Regional Transportation Commission and Nevada Department of Transportation.
