Councilmen Stavros S. Anthony and Bob Beers will officially open the new Far Hills Bridge for pedestrians and bicyclists on Wednesday, May 28, at 8 a.m. The new bridge is located at Far Hills and Clark County 215, and allows for safe and convenient access and use of area trails.
Councilmen Anthony and Beers will be joined by Tom Warden, the vice president of community and government relations for the Howard Hughes Corporation, to cut the ribbon for the new bridge. After cutting the ribbon, Councilmen Anthony and Beers will bike down to Hualapai Way just north of Alta Drive to the new parking lot at the Hualapai Trailhead, where they will ride through a ribbon there.
The 12-space parking lot is intended to facilitate access to an adjacent recreational trail.
The new Far Hills Bridge is part of the loop trail that is being built around the outside of the community. The bridge is part of plans to create an interlocking trail system across the entire valley.
