Sections of the inside north- and southbound lanes on Martin Luther King Boulevard, between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard, will be closed for the next four weekends, starting with the weekend of June 7-8, and ending with the weekend of June 28-29. The lane closures are in conjunction with median island improvements and will cover only the work area. Lanes will close at 5:30 a.m. and reopen at 3:30 p.m. these Saturdays and Sundays.
Since the work activities are restricted to the weekends, traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, but motorists are encouraged to use caution in the work zone.
City of Las Vegas Operations & Maintenance department staff will do the work and manage the project. The estimated cost of the work is approximately $50,000 and is funded by the city of Las Vegas.
