Fire Damages Mobile Home
Two Adults Are Displaced Because of the Fire

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded to the Millennium Estates Mobile Home Park, 830 N. Lamb Blvd after fire dispatchers received several 9-1-1 calls at 2:17 Thursday afternoon that a mobile home was on fire.  Callers said people were inside the single wide mobile home, others said people were trying to fight the fire.

When firefighters arrived on scene heavy flames and smoke were showing mostly on the outside of the mobile home.  It took firefighters about five minutes to bring the fire under control.

Firefighters quickly searched the trailer and found no one inside.

Fire investigators determined there was a small wooden shed outside against the side of the mobile home that caught fire that then extended to the mobile home.  The shed was completely destroyed by the fire and the mobile home sustained extensive damage due to flames and heat.  Damage was estimated at $65,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Two adults live in the home and are displaced.  They refused assistance from the American Red Cross.
