U.S. Post Office and Courthouse

 Post Office
The Post Office building was built in 1931 as part of a massive government building project during the Depression years and is an excellent example of the Neo-classical style endorsed by the Treasury Department’s Supervising Architect’s office as the most fitting for public buildings.   The building was the site of the McCarran-Greenspun trials, as well as the Kefauver hearings into organized crime.  Today the building is being transformed into the Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement .
