The Supplier Diversity Program provides technical assistance to minority-owned, women-owned and disabled veteran-owned business enterprises (MWDVBEs) to give those organizations greater access to contracting and procurement opportunities with the city. This is accomplished by:
An MWDVBE is defined as an organization that is at least 51 percent owned by one or more minorities/women/disabled veterans who also control (exercise power to make policy decisions) and operate (actively involved in day-to-day management) the business. The city of Las Vegas’ Supplier Diversity Program allows for self-certification during the registration process and does not require formal certification. MWDVBEs wishing to register and to get started with doing business with the city of Las Vegas, can find additional information at http://lasvegasnevada.gov/Business/doing_business.asp Business enterprises wishing to get formal certification as an MWDVBE can visit the following Web sites: To arrange an appointment with the city of Las Vegas Supplier Diversity Program Administrator, please call (702) 229-6231. Minority Business Directory To help increase business opportunities for the MWDVBE suppliers wishing to do business with the city, the city has created an online Business Minority Directory. This listing is updated monthly. To be included on this list, companies must complete the two-step supplier registration process which includes selecting your business classification and selecting the products and services you provide.
