Internal City And City Council Support

• Oversees federal , state  and local legislative advocacy .
• Provides administrative, analytical and support services to the City Council, city manager, deputy city managers and city leadership.
• Monitors Yucca Mountain.
• Facilitates the Development Review Process.

Emergency Management

• Oversees the Office of Emergency Management.
• Provides training for and coordinates the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program for the Las Vegas Valley.

Contracts And Grants Management

• Provides development, oversight and evaluation services so that city leaders can benefit from enhanced revenue and improved management of grants.
• Coordinates administration of the city’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding.

Sustainability

• Oversees the Office of Sustainability.
• Provides information to city leaders, businesses and residents on how they can reduce energy, waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
