Councilman Steve Wolfson Ward 2 Your Ward 2 elected representative on the Las Vegas City Council is Councilman Steve Wolfson. In a historic special election in June 2004, Steve Wolfson was elected to the Las Vegas City Council. He represents Ward 2, which encompasses the westernmost portions of the city, including parts of Summerlin, Peccole Ranch, Queensridge and The Lakes. On May 6, 2009, after running unopposed, he was sworn in for his second full term, which ends in June 2013. As a city councilman, Wolfson serves on the city of Las Vegas Audit Oversight Committee, Corridor of Hope Task Force, Local Law Enforcement Advisory Committee, Yucca Mountain Nuclear Repository Committee, the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition and is vice-chairman of the Metropolitan Police Committee on Fiscal Affairs. Councilman Wolfson has many years of experience in the legal field, and as a councilman he worked to impose tougher penalties on DUI offenders and added the Coroner’s Visitation Program as a sentencing option for prosecutors.
