July is Park and Recreation Month and the perfect time to try something new. Learn more about the hundreds of activities, classes, programs and camps at locations throughout the city of Las Vegas. Also join the Outside Las Vegas Foundation for six unique and free Park and Recreation Month activities. There is also a calendar with Park and Recreation Month activities, and a map of parks with water play areas.

The city has immediate openings for certified lifeguards and water safety instructors. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess current certifications in lifeguarding, first aid, CPR and automated external defibrillator use. If someone is not yet certified but interested in becoming a seasonal or career lifeguard, the city offers pre-lifeguarding skills and American Red Cross lifeguarding courses.
