Traffic Lane Restrictions On Rancho Drive And Oakey Boulevard Planned For Monday During The Overnight Hours
Crews Plan To Work Through The Night To Install Waterline Under Oakey
|
| |
|
Starting at approximately 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, and continuing through 6 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, Rancho Drive will narrow to one travel lane in each direction, through the Oakey Boulevard intersection. In addition, traffic lane restrictions will remain in effect on Oakey, between Rancho and Campbell Drive.
The traffic disruptions are necessary as part of continuing work on a $6.2 million storm drainage improvement project along Oakey, between Birch Street and Cahlan Drive.
The traffic flow changes are necessary as crews perform waterline installation under Oakey during the overnight hours. Work will take place in the Rancho and Oakey intersection, and along Oakey, between Rancho and Ville De Conde Way. This phase of work should be completed by approximately 6 a.m. on Sept. 1. Rancho Drive should be reopen to access in time to accommodate Tuesday morning commute traffic.
Work on the Oakey Boulevard flood control improvement project started in February and is slated for completion in late 2009. Funding is provided by the Clark County Regional Flood Control District. Las Vegas Paving is the contractor and the city of Las Vegas Department of Public Works is managing the project.
