Fatal Fire Remains Under Investigation - Update

 

The fire that took the life of a Clark County schoolteacher remains under investigation by Las Vegas Fire Investigators. Investigators are waiting for toxicology test results to come back which could take as long as eight weeks. At this time the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire investigators do not believe the fire was intentionally set or is suspicious in nature. Investigators believe the fire may be accidental in nature, but will wait for test results before making a final determination.

The fire occurred at 7:11 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 7217 Grand Palace Ave. Firefighters contained the fire to the master bedroom.  The fire caused $5,000 in damage. The woman was the only occupant of the house.
